An Arogya Mitra in every ward
Volunteers trained in first aid and health awareness who serve their own neighbourhood.
Why it matters
The first minutes before a hospital, and the everyday knowledge that keeps illness away, have to live in the neighbourhood itself. A trained neighbour, guided by a doctor, fills that gap.
What we do
- First response for injuries, burns, snakebite, and hands-only CPR
- Safe household remedies, and knowing when to send someone to a doctor
- Health awareness talks and camps in the ward
- Training based on the Arogya Mitra Digdarshika field handbook
